The mechanical watch needs to be manually winded every day, and the daily winding helps to ensure that the watch stores enough energy. The ultra-long time-keeping mechanical watch can be timely winded according to its continuous time-keeping duration. Winding method: The crown is located at the normal position (Figure 1.1), and the crown is rotated clockwise until it couldn’t be rotated. When the winding is undertaken, the friction sound of gear can be heard when the watch is placed close to the ear.
Automatic mechanical watch (AUTOMATIC) relies on daily arm activities to drive the winding mechanism of the watch, and the daily wearing lasting for 6~8 hours can store sufficient energy for the watch. In case that the watch is placed for over a day or there exists very little daily wrist activity, unscrewing the crown to the winding position and turning it clockwise about 20 times can be used to pre-store part of the energy before the wearing.
After the mechanical watch is fully winded, it can move for 36~42 hours. Different size and grade of movement bring about differentiated time-keeping.
Please refer to the operation instruction for continuous time-keeping duration of ultra-long time-keeping mechanical watch.
Notes 1: When the crown of manual winding mechanical watch couldn’t be rotated, it is fully winded. Please do not continue to force the winding so as to prevent rupture of the spring.
Notes 2: When the crown of the mechanical watch equipped with the stop-second function is pulled to the gear of time adjustment, the pointer stops. When the watch is not temporarily used, the crown shall not be pulled to stop the second.
